Botaneecasa is an independent upholstery and botanical home textiles studio & brand based in the small village of Algaida in the centre of Mallorca. 

Founded in 2023 by Hannah Whitehead, Botaneecasa values the beauty in imperfection, nature, history, slow living, design & craftsman - whilst looking to history & tradition to influence our creations. 

The ethos at the heart of Botaneecasa is “repair, don’t replace”, to encourage critical thinking of the life cycle of our products, to challenge throw away culture and to find and hear of the stories held with in what many may look at as meaningless “things”. 

Through upholstery services and offering redye and repair services on all botanically dyed natural fibre textile products, at Botaneecasa we believe fixing something only builds on the story, soul and character of the otherwise inanimate objects in our lives. We believe seemingly lifeless objects that are often regarded as mundane, can in fact be quite the opposite, and alive with stories of people, places and times gone by, serving as talismans, portals and mementos of treasured memories.  

An old tattered armchair may be a transport you to a childhood of sitting on a grandparents knee and sipping hot chocolate by the fire, an old linen bed set, Embroidered with family initials, invokes memories of crawling into bed with children and reading more stories than promised at the outset, just to spend more time together. 

These objects possess a voice waiting to be heard. Through their eyes, we uncover forgotten histories, relive moments of joy and sorrow, and gain a deeper appreciation for the simple things we often overlook. These stories of inanimate objects remind us that in the vast tapestry of existence, even the most ordinary items hold extraordinary stories within them.
